It's Spring
It does feel like it's spring out there today. I wanted to go for a hike, possibly using the snowshoes, but the closest snow is about 2.5 hours away. So instead I went for a quick - couple of hours - hike in the Dandenongs, which worked out better because I was a bit tired today.
Here's a picture of someone that was very interested in my sandwich:

Other stuff that's going on:
- Watching the Red Sox - today the Sox beat the Rangers and the Rays lost to the Jays. 2.5 games back. Go Sox.
- Watching the playoffs for Aussie football - the Saints, my team, play Geelong, the best team in the business, on Sunday. Go the Saints! Right now I'm watching Collingwood, Ula's team, clean up Adelaide, though it's a close and good game. Am I allowed to cheer for Collingwood? I think most people would say 'no'.
- Training for the Melbourne half-marathon, which is October 12. I have a running club, a coach, and I'm on track so I should do alright. I'm not expecting to get my PR but I should do alright.
- Ula's been in Greece for 2 weeks now and will be there for another 2 so I'm on my own here. I'm doing alright.
News:
- My brother, Steve, got engaged not too long ago to his girlfriend, Rebecca. This is all very cool. They should say the 'I do's in about a year.
- I never know when you're allowed to say that someone's pregnant. I was told and there was no disclaimer. But just to be safe - congratulations to the unnamed cousin.
